MakeFest-Science-Industry-Museum

MakeFest is back for 2019, and taking over the museum for another huge weekend of tinkering, testing, coding and creating.

Get hands-on with dozens of DIY activities, brought to you by a whole host of engineers, hackers, coders, makers, artists and scientists.

Anyone can join in, no experience necessary—just give something a go. That’s where the inventing (and fun) really starts.

Solder your own badge with the help of the Gadget Factory team and find out how circuits work at their Light Up Badge Workshop, in association with Edinburgh Science Festival and Siemens.

MakeFest activities include:

  • Build a bridge with the Institution of Civil Engineers
  • Help to make a chain reaction machine
  • Drive a lunar buggy
  • Play music with colours
  • Code robots
  • Create musical instruments from rubbish
  • Marvel at magnificent Meccano machines

Try everything, make something and get to grips with your inner inventor at MakeFest 2019.
