With so many classes to choose from these days, how do mums and dads know which ones are worth a try and which to give a miss, in favour of attempting to get some shut-eye when the baby (hopefully) naps.
Whether you are would like a chilled, calming experience for you and your bundle of joy or fancy boosting your fitness levels and releasing those happy hormones, we’ve put together a guide for both parents and babies to enjoy…
Dance Like A Mother CIC
Popular babywearing dance fitness classes where you can have the time of your life dancing to tunes, whilst your baby is snuggled up close to you in a comfy carrier, win-win! All dance routines are designed with the postnatal body in mind and the instructors can provide you with a carrier, fit you and baby safe for the class as well as offer advice. DLAM is a fun, sociable group, regularly organising events, raising funds to support parents in Manchester and taking part in performances, they even appeared on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Classes are currently running in Prestwich, Didsbury, Chorlton, Monton, Withington, Salford, Boothstown and Urmston.
Classes are £5, discounts apply for Salford residents attending Salford (Angel Centre) classes.

Baby Bee Massage & Yoga
Bond with your little bee in a calm, safe environment with relaxing music, welcome songs and story time plus sensory play too for baby yoga classes. Meet other like-minded parents over the baby yoga mats at Baby Bee’s welcoming Massage & Yoga classes.
Classes are currently running in Oldham, Failsworth, Saddleworth, Tameside, Stockport and beyond
Courses are designed for 4-6 week olds to crawling and cost £30 for a 4-week course.

Meet new and expectant parents at the B.O.O.B.S approved (breastfeeding friendly) venue The Bling Pig for a weekly stay and play session run by the UK’s leading parenting charity NCT. Looking for support and friendship as a new parent or mum-to-be? This sociable group could be your opportunity.
Meetups are every Thursday in Monton, Eccles and run by NCT Bolton & North West Manchester Branch
These Mums Do Fitness
Get fit whilst exercising with your little one at an award-winning mum and baby training session which incorporates a fitness plan into your weekly routine. Meet like-minded mums for training in the park and boost your fitness levels together.
Sessions are currently running in Urmston, Sale and Altrincham and cost £5 per class.
Whitworth Gallery Art Babies
Weekly sensory play session in a beautiful, cultural setting specially designed for babies and their carers.
Sessions are free and will run on Mondays (during term time) 10am-3pm from 17th September. No booking required, just drop in.
